I’m Brian Kim, a UX designer who loves making complex things feel simple. I get the most energy from uncovering insights, bringing teams together, and shaping systems that help people do their best work.
But enough blah blahs, Scroll down to skim through my work!
Reimagining a fragmented donation platform into a unified, intelligent system.iDonate had three legacy systems and fragmented user experiences, making it for admins to manage campaigns and donors to feel confident about giving.
BENlabs needed to communicate the value of its AI and data technology in a way that investors could quickly understand. I designed systems and experiences that turned complex data into a clear, compelling product story and helped secure $75M in funding from Gates Ventures.
I’m a designer who likes to bring clarity to complex problems. I enjoy untangling messy systems, finding patterns, and designing experiences that just make sense. My background spans research, strategy, and design execution, and I tend to approach projects from both the macro and micro levels, thinking about how the whole thing fits together while sweating the small details that make it work.
I’ve led design work for companies like iDonate, BENlabs, ADP, and Newegg, where I helped define product vision, unify fragmented systems, and build scalable design foundations. Whether it’s conducting research, designing new frameworks, or building a design library, I’m most engaged when I’m shaping how a product evolves, not just how it looks.
Outside of design, I’m curious by nature. I like to explore new ideas, learn how things work, and find better ways of working. I care about clarity, usefulness, and good collaboration, and I try to keep my work grounded in empathy, structure, and imagination.

"I loved working with Brian, and my only complaint is that we did not get to work together for longer. We were both in a newly a formed team that had vague direction and his skills were crucial in helping us find our footing."
"Brian is the Designer you want to work with. He just does great work and has fun doing it as a team. Nuff said."
"Brian is kind and a great thought partner and a team player who is always happy to help out. He is a good human and a whole lot of fun to work with."
"I collaborated with Brian extensively across several dimensions of Product. We primarily worked together on strategic planning, as product team coaches, and on design thinking and design detail for updates to existing product. In all of these areas, Brian excelled as a partner. I would happily partner again with him in the future. Fast, fresh, and full of ideas. Loved working together!"
